Hi, I’m Mary Helen
Licensed acupuncturist, practitioner of Classical Chinese medicine

My work is rooted in deep listening, compassionate presence, and reverence for the wisdom of the body. Through the lens of Classical Chinese medicine, I see how your thoughts shape your wellbeing, how your stories are woven into the fabric of your life, and how your power is always within reach.

I honor symptoms as meaningful messengers — pointing toward imbalance, disconnection, and the possibility of healing. My work is to cultivate a safe space where you can reconnect with your strength, your truth, and your innate capacity to heal.

My deepest intention is to support your liberation from physical and emotional constraints, helping you attune to the wisdom your body already holds.
I meet you exactly where you are — with compassion, deep respect, and reverence for your unfolding journey.

I am deeply grateful for the many teachers who have shaped my journey and continue to inform the way I practice, listen, and heal.
My studies in Classical Chinese Medicine are rooted in the Yu Qing Huang Lao Pi tradition, guided by my teacher and mentor, Ann Cecil-Sterman, with whom I continue my studies, and by Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th-generation Daoist priest. This pre-Han Dynasty channel medicine carries forward a classical understanding of acupuncture as a complete system of healing—one that recognizes the body as an interconnected whole and works with the channels and patterns that shape our experience of health and wellbeing..
Another significant influence has been Dr. Gabor Maté. His Compassionate Inquiry training deepened my understanding of how trauma lives in the body while teaching me to meet each person with greater curiosity, humility, and compassion. It continues to shape the way I listen, witness, and support each person’s healing process.
Among my greatest teachers is my young son, Silas Pearl, who reminds me each day of the wisdom found in wonder, presence, and seeing the world with fresh eyes. His way of meeting life continues to deepen my own understanding of healing.
